About Nandan
I am a Mathematics and Statistics graduate and have been a full time tutor for 8+ years now. I have mentored in school as well as teaching at university before deciding to make tutoring my career due to my love for it! I've gained a lot of experience over the years to perfect my teaching technique and I'm constantly learning to deliver the highest quality service to my students.

My aim is to personalise my teaching methods for each individual in a way that resonates with them. This was the reason I decided to become a tutor.
I believe one of the reasons why students don't reach their full potential is because they're not always taught in the best way for them to learn. Lessons in a classroom is a great way to learn, especially to solidify your understanding, however learning in a personalised setting has a higher likelihood of retaining the knowledge gained.
One-to-one attention is the best way to understand what each student needs. I do my best to find ways of teaching from all angles to ensure my students reach the level of understanding which allows them to achieve their target grade and beyond!
A typical lesson usually is personalised to each of my students rather than a generic lesson that would be taught in a classroom. I ensure that I learn my students' strengths and weaknesses over time so I can structure lessons accordingly. A lot of students like to learn different things each week based on what they've been practising over the week, so jumping from topic to topic that are unrelated is quite common. This is why I find it crucial for me to be proficient with all aspects of what I teach so that I don't need to rely on a lesson plan if improvisation is needed. I have all necessary materials easily accessible on my computer to teach whatever is required on the day.
