About Dalia
I am originally from San Diego, CA and moved to Los Angeles for college at UCLA. I fell in love with the community and school I teach at and have been at that school for the past 10 years! I speak both English and Spanish fluently and love connecting with my students!

Hello, my name is Dalia and I am currently a full-time High School Math teacher with 10 years of experience teaching. I have B.S. in Applied Math from UCLA and a Master's in Math Education from UCLA as well! I have taught a math intervention course for below grade level 9th graders (middle school math), Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus and I have over 15 years of experience tutoring 1 on 1 and in small groups as well. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish and I have much experience working with English Language Learners, Students with IEPs and students who are far below grade level in math as well as gifted students wanting to challenge themselves. I connect best with middle school and high school students and am passionate about getting students to love and feel confident with math who normally have not had the best experiences. I strongly believe that building conceptual understanding of a math topic will lead to more confidence and success in math!
