About Jing Yi

As a mom of two, I understand how important patience, encouragement and emotional support are in helping students learn well. My teaching style is empathetic, structured and student-centered — I focus not only on improving grades, but also on rebuilding confidence, strengthening foundations and helping each student believe they can succeed.

I am passionate about education because I believe today’s students are the young leaders of tomorrow. My goal is to help them develop strong problem-solving skills, resilience and a love for learning that goes beyond the classroom.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy learning about psychology, child development and personal growth, which helps me better understand and support each student’s unique learning journey.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is personalised, structured and confidence-building, with each 1.5-hour session tailored to the student’s ability, learning gaps and school curriculum. With 15+ years of experience teaching Secondary, JC, IB and IP Math, I focus on strengthening foundations, breaking down complex concepts clearly, building exam-ready problem-solving skills, and providing individualised notes and feedback to help students improve with confidence.
