About Kamalika
I am a full-time teacher of science with specialism in chemistry in a state-funded, diverse school in England. Prior to becoming a teacher I was a climate scientist. During my PhD worked in the CERN CLOUD project on how particles formed in the air affect clouds and climate! This is an inter-disciplinary field involving a lot of chemistry, physics, computer programming and statistics.
I teach chemistry upto KS5 and physics and bioogy upto KS4 (GCSE) level. I can communicate in English, Bengali and a bit of Hindi. I am passionate about making science accessible and I will work with you until you understand and master the concepts.

I will start with assessing your prior knowledge and needs in the first lesson. I will then plan sessions depending on your goals, the time we have and the topics we want to cover. The plan will be adapted as we go to meet your needs. I like my lessons to be interactive and will constantly asses you on how much your are able to retain from previous lessons, check for any misconceptions and adapt my teaching. I'll also equip you to tackle exam-style questions and develop exam technique awareness alongside developing knowledge.
