About Phillip
I currently live in Manchester and I am open to one on one tutoring or groups. I will also accept online students via Skype/zoom/teams.
I have been a chemistry and science teacher for 5 years. I have taught the following during my time as a teacher AQA Chemistry A-level, AQA triple Chemistry, AQA Combined Science, iGCSE Science, Edexcel Chemistry A-level and Edexcel chemistry GCSE. I know the A-level and GCSE chemistry specifications inside out.
I have also been an examiner for the AQA physics GCSE paper 2. I have tutored students in Manchester for 2 years now and thoroughly enjoy helping people get the qualifications they deserve.
During my time as a student, I received an outstanding teacher rating during my PGCE placements. I also got a first class masters in chemistry before completing my teacher training. Before my degree I received 3 A* at A-level for Maths, Chemistry and Biology. So I understand the rigours and effort required to be a successful student and excel in examinations based subjects.

My teaching method involves questioning and formatively assessing a student using a range of methods in order to find out that student's weak topics and skills. This gives me an idea about what we need to work on and improve.
