About Lauren
Hi, I’m Lauren! I’m currently a second-year medical student and am also completing a Master’s in Medical Education. I have a strong academic background in biology and the medical sciences, but I also understand that Biology can feel overwhelming when there is so much content to learn.
I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I enjoy breaking complicated topics down into simple explanations that are easier to understand and remember. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their confidence.
Having progressed from studying Biology myself to studying medicine, I can also help students understand how the topics they learn for the Leaving Cert relate to real-life medicine and human health, making the subject more interesting and memorable.

I offer friendly and supportive Leaving Certificate Biology grinds tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I am currently a second-year medical student and am completing a Master’s in Medical Education, giving me both a strong scientific background and an understanding of effective teaching and learning methods.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and focus on simplifying difficult topics, building a strong understanding of key concepts and applying this knowledge to exam-style questions. I also focus on exam technique, revision strategies and identifying areas where each student needs additional support.
Lessons suit 5th and 6th Year Leaving Certificate Biology students at both Higher and Ordinary Level, whether you want to improve your grade, prepare for exams, or simply feel more confident in Biology.
