About the lesson

I am a fully qualified secondary school teacher currently working in Sheffield. I currently teach AQA specification GCSE Trilogy Combined Science and Physics and have previously taught both AQA and OCR specification AS Level Physics. I am 27 Years Old and read Physics at the University of Sheffield, graduating in 2012. I mark exams for AQA which gives me a broader and more in depth knowledge of what exam boards expect to see from students in their responses.

I have been teaching since graduating in 2012. I obtained my PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University after completing placements in Sheffield and Doncaster. I have recently begun tutoring since moving to an 11-16 school in order to keep teaching AS Level Physics and to continue to share my passion for higher level Physics.

I am friendly and personable and use these skills to initially seek out strengths and weaknesses. Exam practise and targeted revision forms the basis of my tutoring sessions, with guidance on how to best gain the marks. My experience marking for AQA equips me with the best knowledge of how to approach exam questions which I will share with you. Any content that needs to be re-taught or looked at more in depth can be. I will seek to enhance knowledge and provoke deeper thinking using specific, targeted and open ended questioning.
