About Luke
My name is Luke and I graduated from a Bachelor of Education (Primary with Honors) in 2023 and am currently looking for some extra tutoring work in addition to my normal teaching week. I am very comfortable teaching any subject at or below the 10th grade level. I have been a language instructor (English, Spanish and German) in many countries prior to completing my Bachelor's Degree and have worked well with students from many cultures and backgrounds. Throughout 2024 I used my spare time to complete a Cert 4 in Cybersecurity as Information Technology (IT) has been behind only Historical/Geographical studies as my main passion throughout my life. I was born and raised in Northwestern Victoria (German and Mexican-Spanish was spoken at home) to parents that both worked as Primary School teachers. My passion for teaching World History and English as a Second Language has been prevalent since I first started after-school tutoring in high school.

I will tutor at any reasonable location across the Northeastern to the Southeastern suburbs of Melbourne, from Bundoora to Springvale. I can meet either at the home of the student or at a neutral location that is convenient for you. The only age requirement for my lessons is that the student is at or above the age of 4. Most of my tutoring sessions are typically 1-3 hours, depending on the needs of the student/s. I have extensive teaching experience, as prior to studying my Bachelor degree, I worked in language instruction for more than 6 years across multiple countries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Since completing my Bachelor of Education, I have been working full time as a Humanities/History teacher for the years 7 to 11, although I have spent more than 1000 hours teaching in Primary Schools during my university placements. Using my experience, I provide a personalised teaching approach and that combines both high expectations and high learning outcomes!
