About Jaydenn
Hello! My name is Jayden, and I’m a 19-year-old tutor with a passion for both teaching and adventure. I’ve spent most of my life playing cello through the Suzuki method, which has given me discipline, patience, and a creative approach to learning that I now bring into my teaching. Outside the classroom, I’m happiest outdoors — snowboarding, skating, hiking, or climbing. I believe these experiences not only keep me active and curious but also help me connect with kids in a fun and energetic way. I genuinely love working with children and creating a space where they feel encouraged, supported, and excited to learn. My lessons are interactive, engaging, and built on patience and positivity. Whether your child is just beginning their English journey or looking to build confidence, I bring dedication, creativity, and care to every session.

My Tutoring Approach
Teaching Method and Techniques:
I believe children learn best when they feel engaged, safe, and excited. My lessons use visuals, music, movement, and games to make English come alive. I rely on a communicative and immersive approach, using simple vocabulary, gestures, and repetition to build understanding. For beginners, I incorporate Total Physical Response (TPR), where words are paired with actions, so children can connect meaning before speaking. Each lesson is interactive and designed to build both confidence and language skills.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-Up (5 minutes): Greeting, short “Hello Song,” and introduction of the lesson theme.
Vocabulary Introduction (10–15 minutes): Present 3–5 new words using flashcards, objects, or visuals, with clear modeling and student repetition.
Interactive Activity (10 minutes): Fun game or role-play (e.g., scavenger hunt for colors, “Simon Says” for actions).
Speaking & Listening Practice (5–10 minutes): Repetition for younger kids, short sentence practice for older ones (e.g., “It is a cat,” “I like apples”).
Story or Song (5–10 minutes): Short illustrated story, chant, or action-based song to reinforce learning.
Review & Goodbye (5 minutes): Quick recap, student shares one new word, and “Goodbye Song.”
Each lesson is tailored to age and level:
Ages 4–6: shorter, highly playful lessons with songs and actions.
Ages 7–12: longer lessons with structured activities, simple phrases, and more reading/writing.
