About Laura
Hello!
I'm a Spanish Musical Theatre graduate and actress who currently teaches Singing and Drama at different schools around London as well as tutoring Spanish, Clarinet and Singing. I love teaching my favourite subjects to people who are looking for a fun learning experience.
I started as a teacher and teacher assistant in an English and Theatre school in Murcia (Spain) for 6 months before moving to the UK. I taught Theatre and Musical Theatre in English to kids and teenagers from 3 to 17 years old. There I learnt a lot about teaching with a different and creative approach to the subjects. Since I moved to London 2 years ago I've been tutoring Spanish, Clarinet and Singing as well as teaching some Singing, Drama and Dance group classes at different schools around London.
As a native Spanish speaker and a long time student of English as a second language, I'm confident I know which techniques are best for teaching and learning a foreign language. I have been a Spanish tutor for the past 2 years and my students have been able to see their improvement throughout the process.

I have taught Spanish to students from 14 to over 50 years old, so I adapt my lessons and methodology to the person as much as possible. Individual classes require an open mind and figuring out how to work with each other so we both get the best experience. Every student might need a different approach to the subject, so I'm always open to shake things up a bit and try to find the best way to reach the student's goals.
I try including games as much as possible, since I firmly believe it's the key to learning, discovering and developing your skills.
With teaching Spanish I also try to recommend tv series, movies, music and books the student could be interested in to give them some extra help and motivation.
I can also recommend some Spanish manuals if we wanted to work with a book, if not we can find lots of online and printable resources to work with.

Laura is an accomplished instrumentalist and singer as well as a trained actor. She's got a great sense of humour which makes her a lot of fun to work with, and her performing experience really rounds out her ability to help students with not only the technical sides of playing but the nuances of performance as well.
Laura does a great job at teaching good technique while making the sessions fun. I had never done any singing before and I have improved very quickly. Laura asks students what they would like to achieve and she is very good at guiding them to attain their goal!
Laura is a wonderful teacher who I knew before I even found out about Superprof! She made adjusted the lesson so it was just right for my ability and I saw improvement very quickly. I would highly recommend!
