About Miku
Hello! I’m Miku, a native Japanese teacher from Kagoshima in the south of Japan. I also lived on the tropical island of Amami Oshima. I’m currently based in New Zealand and teach Japanese online.
I have a background in business, having worked as an accountant in a listed company for four years, and I also have experience in hospitality. I lived with 21 rescued cats in Japan, which gave me patience and a big heart — qualities I bring to my teaching.
I’m also a language learner myself (English, Spanish, and Chinese), so I understand how challenging it can be to learn a new language. I aim to create lessons that are practical, positive, and enjoyable, helping you stay motivated while building real skills.
