About Matyas
I am a 4th-year student in MSci Mathematics with Economics at UCL. I came here from Hungary, where I attended high-school.
I am a personal tutor since 2012 and I also have experience in teaching groups. In my high school, I was one of the few Debate Mentors in the first Debate Programme in my country, which was a real success. After the first year, the number of students attending our classes doubled. I have experience in tutoring A-level, AS-level, GCSE and 11+, and I am familiar with the exam boards AQA, Edexcel and OCR.
The Hungarian-style of teaching natural sciences and mathematics gave me a very stable knowledge and understanding in mathematics. This understanding allows me to explain mathematical ideas in a different way than the ones taught in school. I also think that it is really important to understand the core of the given mathematical tool we are using, and it is something I set a high value on while tutoring.

My nephew finds Matyas to be a very good tutor because he is extremely patient and takes the time to explain thoroughly. As a result my nephew feels his Maths is improving each week. He would definitely recommend Matyas to his friends. My nephew is in his final year at Primary School.
Matyas used to tutor in Maths me when I was in high school. I still make use some of his explanations even though now I am in second year of uni. His logical reasoning is great and he made me understand even the most complicated equations and concepts. When I got interested in some aspects, he provided me with extra material. He helped me prepare for my Maths final exams as well and I owe him a great thank you, because it went really well thanks to him. He is also a friendly and funny guy, I wish I had such great tutors at uni!
