About Louis
Hi, I`m Louis I`m a Gap Year student going to study Management at Exeter University next year.
I`ve got a range of experience teaching subjects that I enjoy, espically economics, maths and computer science. In sixth form, I volunteered to help teach these subjects where the assistant head described my teaching as 'exceptional'. I've got a good set of skills for helping other people learn effectively and that helped me to become head boy in Year13. With this position, I organised and communicated with a range of people including organising school open evenings where more than 1000 prospective parents and students attend. I'd be happy to help students get in the right mindset and give them the best lessons possible.

Firstly, I get a list of all of the individual topics covered in the course and an understanding of your strengths and weaknesses. It's so important to understand this early on so that we can prioritise topics effectively. Although I will cover all topic areas, I would start by focusing on these weaker areas of knowledge. I try and make my lessons as fun and interesting as possible and I also like to let the student figure out problems for themselves so they are more likely to understand and remember certain topics in the future. Finally, I do regular recalls of knowledge at the start of lessons and larger tests every so often to make sure that topics we cover are reinforced in memory.
