About Jimena
ABOUT ME
I was raised in South America until I was 15, therefore I am a native Spanish speaker and I attended school in Spanish until Year 10 so I can write, read and speak it perfectly. In September, I will be going on to study Natural Sciences at the University of York. I have now finished my A-Levels in Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology, hence, I have a deep understanding of them and I am eager to provide support to those who want to improve their own understanding.

ABOUT MY TEACHING
As a current student, I know the best tips and techniques to get the most marks in exams. I think a fundamental skill a tutor should have is being able to tailor their lessons to each of their student's needs. I am confident I can provide personalised tutorials to each of my students, whether you prefer learning visually, kinaesthetically or audibly. I am a new tutor on this site, however, I have experience tutoring students from Year 9 to Year 13 in science, Spanish and maths.
BOOKING YOUR FIRST LESSON WITH ME
We can have a trial lesson so you can get a feel of my teaching style. Before our trial lesson, I would like to know an area which you are struggling with so I can explain it in our trial lesson and you can decide whether you are comfortable or not with my teaching. Aditionally, we can utilise the trial lesson to discuss what you would like to improve upon and what you need help with.
Before every lesson, I would like you to tell me what exam board you're studying and what tier so I can familiarise myself with your exact specification. This will allow both of us to target each area effectively so you can achieve top marks in exams. Although understanding the content of your subject is substantial, getting to grips with your specification and learning key words is also fundamental to score marks in exams. I plan my lessons in advance, so I would also ask you to tell me a specific area you find difficult so I can plan a lesson tackling those hard concepts.
