About Tor
Hi there! I’m Tor, a Collections and Research Assistant at the National Galleries of Scotland. In my job I’m constantly surrounded by paintings and drawings, which means I get to learn about art on a daily basis. Art History and Archaeology are my passion, but I also love to read literature. I studied Art History and Material Culture for my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, specialising in superstitious charms and amulets from Scotland’s history. I am part of the British Art Network Early Careers Curators, the Folklore Society and a contributing writer for the Heroine Collective, an online publication celebrating feminist heroes of the past and present.
