About Jack
I am a biomedical scientist and final year medical student at the University of Queensland. I received my Doctorate in Biomedical Science in 2020, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in respiratory physiology following this. I have held teaching positions at the University of Technology Sydney in a range of 1st-3rd year subjects within the Life Sciences Faculty and 1st year medical student practical rotations in renal and respiratory anatomy and physiology. Classes range from 15-60 students so I am used to teaching in a group environment, but I also have extensive experience with 1 on 1 tutoring also.

I am currently studying Postgraduate Medicine at the University of Queensland and hope I can assist others in their journey into medicine. Prior to my current studies, I had a career in research, where I spent several years improving skills I found to be effective in GAMSAT. As a postdoctoral fellow, I was regularly required to communicate my research to a wide range of audiences, meaning I have honed my skills in scientific communication to both specialized and non-specialized audiences. I have also adapted this skill into my teaching methodology allowing me to simplify concepts for better understanding and continued learning. I don't believe that memorizing content is beneficial in the approach to GAMSAT preparation; instead, I try to break down concepts so students can reach the answers by themselves. Further to this, I have been assisting students with their preparation for Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) for medical school admissions. Within these sessions, I attempt to simulate examination conditions as best as possible and provide feedback on both form and content of responses.

Jack is extremely comprehensive and well-thought at my MMI prep. He gives constructive feedback on how I can improve station by station. I would recommend Jack to anyone who needs MMI prep.
Jack is an incredible teacher. He explained everything easily and succintly, making the lessons easily digestible. I struggled with section 2 of GAMSAT but with Jack's help, I was able to make great improvement on structure and overall process of elaborating on my ideas.
