About Ben
I am currently studying MMath Mathematics at Lancaster University, where I achieved 90% in Part I. Before university, I achieved A*s in A-level Maths and Further Maths and a grade 9 in GCSE Maths.
My school did not offer Further Maths, so I taught myself the course independently alongside my other studies. That experience is what first inspired me to tutor. I know how difficult it can be to work through challenging material without having someone there to explain it clearly, answer questions and show you where you are going wrong. Looking back, that was exactly the kind of support I would have benefited from.
I now enjoy giving students the guidance I did not always have myself. I have tutored five students so far and helped each of them achieve their desired grade. My aim is to make maths feel less overwhelming, build confidence and give students a clear path towards their goals.

I provide clear, structured tuition in GCSE Maths, A-level Maths, Further Maths and university-level mathematical foundations. I have already tutored five students, helping each of them achieve their desired grade through clear explanations, targeted practice and structured support.
Each 60-minute lesson is tailored to the student’s current level and goals. I identify weaker areas, explain topics step by step, work through examples, then use carefully selected questions to make sure the student can apply the method independently.
I tutor GCSE and A-level students at all levels, from those rebuilding their foundations to those aiming for top grades. I also support university students with foundational topics including calculus, algebra, linear algebra and introductory probability.
