About Cerys
I am an A-Level student currently being predicted A*A*A* in Maths, Biology & Chemistry, having gotten a 9 in GCSE Chemistry on the AQA examination board. Experiencing my younger sister with a neurodivergent condition struggling to retain knowledge in lessons as when compared to when she had tutoring (which allowed her to complete and pass all her GCSEs) made me realise how invaluable 1-to-1 assisted learning can be. I would love to give another student the same opportunity that my sister got so that they can reach their full academic potential and confidence.

For Chemistry, the most important aspect in my opinion is being able to answer questions succinctly and timed appropriately to the number of marks available. Many long-form response questions at GCSE are recurring throughout past papers, so teaching students a structure which can maximise their marks no matter how the question is worded is essential. This can be put into practice through both tutor demonstration and tutee self-assessment versus tutor/mark scheme marking.
