About Tayla
I’m Tayla and I’m a 17 year old A Level student, studying English Literature and Language, Mathematics and Media Studies, with hopes to study English and Theatre at University, and go on to teach English and Drama in UK secondary schools. As someone with such recent GCSE success, including two 9’s in English Literature and Language, I am passionate about helping others with my own inside knowledge, that is fresh and up to date with GCSE mark schemes, my favourite aspect of the GCSE course being poetry. In my spare time I enjoy reading, going to the gym, skateboarding and playing the guitar.

As someone who has had tutoring in the past, I know how important it is that your tutor be down-to-earth and understanding, and I will certainly put my all into making you feel comfortable in my lessons, so you can ask valuable questions and gain the most from our time together. The first lesson with me would consist of getting to know your individual strengths and weaknesses, as well as learning style, school course & set texts. In the first lesson we will also review unseen texts so I can gauge a general idea of what may be worked towards over our sessions together. From then, I will create a detailed lesson plan tailored specifically for you, working on any aspects of English you may be struggling with. I always try to make lessons creative and fun as I believe more information is retained and embodied that way.

Tayla is a family friend who tutored our son and got him an 8 in his gcse end of year exam. he had a lot of wasted potential and Tayla utterly transformed his attitude towards english as well as his grades. She is also now tutoring our younger son(year9) and he has already come on leaps and bounds. she made both of my sons feel content and supported couldn’t recommend enough xx
Tayla tutored me for 12 weeks before my GCSEs and I went from a grade 3 to a 7 in my English lit. My English language grade went from a U to a 5. Tayla was constantly supportive, patient, and took time to focus on the things I struggled with the most. I am so thankful, as the grades I got helped me get into 6th form and study English. Tayla even helped me write my A level application form. :)
