About Thiso
I'm a university Computer Science student with a strong academic background in Maths and Computing, having achieved 9 grade 9's in my subjects at GCSE and high grades at A-Level. I understand how challenging these subjects can feel at times, so I focus on explaining concepts in a clear, logical way that actually makes sense. My goal is to build confidence and help students become independent learners who know exactly how to approach exam questions and collect every possible mark. Having recently completed my own exams, I know what examiners look for and how to turn understanding into top results. I'm friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoy helping students reach their full potential. My lessons are one hour long and focus on helping students truly understand the material while learning how to think for themselves. I take a literal, exam-focused approach, breaking topics down into clear, simple steps and showing exactly how to pick up marks in every question. My goal isn't just to explain content - it's to teach students the method behind problem-solving so they can apply it independently. During lessons, we'll cover theory, practise past paper questions, and build mark-gathering strategies that examiners look for. Over time, students become more confident and able to teach themselves effectively, which is the best long-term skill they can develop.
