About Joshua
I have previous tutoring experience in person at FirstClass Learning Edgware and privately. I also have online experience with teaching for TutorFromHome. I was able to help a GCSE maths student privately who had previously been struggling on a 3, jump 3 grades in around 2 months to get her a 6 and into her first choice 6th form. This shows that I have a proven track record of results. I am an offer holder for Computer Science at Warwick University, and achieved 9 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s at GCSE. I am also predicted to get all A*'s at A level, so I know loads about effective learning methods, especially for maths. I also did 2 early GCSE's a year before my peers including a statistics GCSE, which further shows my proficiency in terms of learning and understanding maths related topics. Which is something that'll aid my teaching Outside of academia, I'm a football fan, drummer and clothing brand owner. I teach because I enjoy it. I like to help people understand what they didn't before, as it gives me a massive sense of achievement. I also just love maths, so please help me to share that love of the subject and bump your grades up in the process.

Growing up teaching my younger sibling maths helped me to develop the ability to offer clear explanations and examples to students. As well as this, my lessons will be carefully planned so as to keep the attention of my students and keep them engaged via the use of tools like Kahoot to make learning fun for all of my students. My lessons will also involve resources to make lessons interactive and I will not give excessive amounts of homework so that every student is able to do it easily and to a high standard. The lesson style is quite relaxed, and I aim to get to know every student, so that they feel comfortable being taught by me. I would be honoured to be allowed to teach anyone willing to learn.
