About Georgia
Hi, I'm Georgia, I have recently finished my A Levels achieving grades A*A*A in Biology, Economics and Maths respectively. I am now studying a degree in Land Economy at the University of Cambridge. Having achieved grades (concealed information) at GCSE in 2023, I am offering GCSE level tutoring, specifically in Biology and Maths, as these are subjects I have a deeper understanding of, beyond GCSE level. I know from experience that GCSEs can feel overwhelming, and sometimes a clear explanation from someone who has just been through it makes all the difference. I enjoy breaking down tricky topics, sharing revision techniques that worked for me, and helping students build confidence in their own ability. Tutoring also gives me the chance to pass on what I’ve learned and support younger students in reaching their potential — whether that’s aiming for top grades or simply feeling more confident going into exams.

My lessons are aimed at GCSE level students who need a boost in confidence, gaps filled or want to aim for higher grades. Having achieved a GCSE grade 9 in both Biology and Maths, and grades A* and A at A Level, I know what it takes to reach top marks, and have an understanding of the subjects beyond GCSE level. Because I've only recently finished the exams myself, I am familiar with current exam boards, mark schemes and revision strategies that work. I follow a student-centred tutoring approach, starting by asking the student what their goals are and finding out specific topics they find difficult. Rather than just explaining concepts, I use practice questions to allow the student to talk me through their thinking, so that they learn how to apply their knowledge, not just memorise it. I break complex topics into clear, simple steps, then build them back up into exam-style answers.
