About Erin
Hi, I'm Erin, a medical student at the University of Oxford. I am from North Devon, and am a fairly active, outdoorsy person. I have worked hard during my education, but have maintained a good work/life balance by working efficiently, and revising effectively. I believe life shouldn't just be spent studying, so hope to teach you effective studying techniques, alongside my concise explanations during my lessons.

My lessons are for any science or maths student up to GCSE. I use lots of sample and past exam questions to ensure that all knowledge can easily be repeated and applied. I believe in linking knowledge from different areas to gain full understanding of the topic, before it can be applied. I also believe in active recall, so will be asking lots of questions during my concise explanations. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adjust my techniques to what works best for you.
I like the pomodoro timing method, so tend to work in 25minute chunks with a quick break to keep momentum up. Lessons range in length to suit your needs, but generally between 30mins-1hour.
I completed A-Levels (with A* in each of maths, chemistry and physics) and am now a 3rd year medical student at the University of Oxford. I have tutored AS maths previously and have often been the person in class who students come to for help. This means that I am no stranger to explaining things to people who learn differently than myself, and has given me the skills to create a comfortable and productive environment.
