About Jasper
Hii, my name is Jasper and I am about to leave for university to study Dietetics after having finished my A-levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. Having been through the GCSE and A-levels process I know what it is like to have so much going on at times and how much good support means. That is one of the main reasons I started tutoring; I wanted to be able to give students the support I would have wanted to get earlier. Outside of university I like music and I play the piano. This helps me relax and get away which means I can stay focused. I am a patient and approachable person and I try and bring that to the lessons I give. To me, tutoring isn’t just about the grades, but about building people’s confidence, making hard things easier and showing people they are a lot more able than they think they are.

I offer personalised GCSE Maths and Biology tuition. The lessons begin with clear explanations of content to give students a good knowledge base on the specific topic. Then we do exam questions to get students to practise applying the content to the exam situation. Which is the most important part in the whole journey of studying. Lessons are 60-120 minutes long, depending on what the student needs to get out of the lesson. My lessons are flexible to focus on areas that need more attention, or to prepare for the exam. I want to help students become more confident and do better in the exam. Lessons help students to remember content, to be able to use that content in a different context, and to prepare for the exam. I am also willing to help outside of lessons to answer questions, look at homework and give guidance so that students keep making progress outside of lessons. Lessons are for GCSE students that want to improve their grades, increase their understanding, and learn how to tackle exam questions, as well as revising through topics they're not confident enough of from school's lessons.
