About Tom
I have experience in tutoring Mathematics during my time in Sixth Form, where I tutored GCSE Mathematics students to help boost their grades in time for the exams, or simply to improve their maths skills to feel more comfortable with the subject. One student managed to get from a C grade to A grade in less than 5 months. Gaining an A* at GCSE, I believe I know how the exam works and how to get the best out of the student to maximise their potential.

My teaching method is based on identifying the key subject areas that need improving and working on these first. I offer clear explanations of the concepts and do not rush students, as making sure they understand how the methods work is key. Once an understanding of the content is achieved, it is solely about past papers for me. Getting the student used to the type of questions that come up in the exam and getting these right will help them have the best chance of success.
