About Mimi
Currently I am working as a Science Technician and now looking to provide support to Yr7-Y11 students via evening/weekend tutoring sessions.
I am a Former A-level Biology Teaching Assistant and a Graduate from Royal Holloway University in Biology (BSc).
I am able to teach all topics for GCSE Science students who need extra help for their exams.
I also offer extra support in science for Years 7-9 as well.
I have tutored multiple students in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Music over the past three years.
I have been fortunate to witness the positive impact teaching can have on students.
I am proud to create a comfortable, safe, and encouraging environment in which my students are able to show good progress.

This can completely be up to what the student would like to go through!
If the student has an upcoming test or exam, I can go through the topics with them/what they feel to be struggling with at that moment in time.
Otherwise I will go through their particular GCSE specification systematically.
I ask the student to teach concepts back to me after going through topics.
I always test students on what we previously have gone to combat the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve, which I use to schedule their retrieval of topics over time.
I also create notes during the session which I send back to the student for revision, which include questions based on the topic as a small homework-like exercise.
