About Tomika
Watching adult learners struggle with math concepts during my first week teaching GED prep sparked a commitment to simplifying complex ideas. I spent 12 years refining methods to help students break through barriers that once seemed impossible to overcome. My BA English from MIT provides a strong analytical foundation for my approach to language arts and reasoning skills.
I have worked with countless adult learners who felt stuck in their progress until they found a repeatable way to solve problems. Developing confidence in students who have been away from school for a long time remains the most rewarding part of my career.
I prioritize a patient environment where progress is measured by understanding rather than speed. My teaching focuses on building the basic algebra skills necessary to handle mathematical reasoning with ease.
You will find that I emphasize the logic behind essay writing to make the process less intimidating for everyone involved. Addressing the specific needs of returning students requires a calm demeanor and a clear, step-by-step strategy for every subject. Feel free to send me a message if you are ready to prepare for your exams at your own pace.

Studying for the GED should feel less like a chore and more like a logical puzzle when you have the right tools. Progress occurs when you stop worrying about the clock and focus entirely on mastering the specific concept in front of you.
Targeted practice helps lock in knowledge so you retain what we discuss long after our time concludes. Real past-paper practice acts as the core of our work together to ensure you know exactly what to expect on exam day. My BA English from MIT informs how I break down complex reading passages and argumentative essays into manageable components. We will move toward your testing goal by ensuring every question type feels familiar and reachable.
