About Guy
I recently finished my masters in geochemistry from St Andrews and am very eager to tutor those in need of extra science tutoring. I am always happy to pass knowledge down and help students achieve what they are capable of. My university education has given me high-level understanding many fundamental principles of chemistry including thermodynamics, redox and acid-base equilibria which I routinely put into practice through active research. I have often been required to explain complex topics to general audiences which makes me well-suited for teaching at GCSE or A-level standard. In addition to geochemistry I have also completed a masters in geology and would be more than capable of offering tutoring for any A-level or undergraduate topic.

I am a patient and eager tutor who has a very flexible approach to teaching. I have very strong background in chemistry and earth sciences and have plenty of experience in delivering and simplifying complex material to help with understanding. I like to demonstrate using diagrams, sketches and equations as I believe being able to visualise a concept is the easiest and most effective way to achieve understanding. I also like to use worked examples and walkthroughs to ensure students are comfortable with every step of any problem they may be posed and give them every opportunity to ask questions if they do not understand anything.
