About Mariavittoria
I am originally Italian and moved to the UK for my university bachelors degree in 2017. After graduating in 2022 with first-class marks, I started my job as an outdoor educator and fieldwork tutor for UK schools with Lochranza Centre, a CIC organization that offers fieldwork-based courses for Geology, Geography, and Environmental Science students from schools all over the UK. I had the pleasure of tutoring students of all levels, from primary schools all the way to university, however, the most part of my work was with GCSE and A level students. I am currently a masters student, learning Geographical Information Systems in great detail. I would love to keep teaching the subjects I am so passionate about. I can also offer support with dissertation planning and writing since I love writing mine so much! Personally, I am very (very) patient and friendly, and can at the same time be strict when needed.

Focusing on the specific needs of each student, lessons may vary according to differing learning styles and levels. Typical lesson length will be an hour but they can be shorter or longer if required. Lessons can be for students of all ages, from GCSE and A level students, to senior learners with interests in geology, geography, or environmental sciences. I have in fact professional experience teaching such subjects on a broad range of levels as an outdoor educator and fieldwork course instructor. I have tutored GCSE and A level students from schools all over the UK. I am familiar with the curriculum and typical learning needs of this age group and level. I have also conducted public geology courses around the Island of Arran for senior members of the public.
