About Leonore
I have been giving one-to-one tuition to preschoolers, school children, students, business people and retirees from all five continents for more than three decades and have always preferred to give one-to-one tuition because the student benefits so much more. I can adjust the lessons 100% to the pace and needs of the student and concentrate fully on supporting this one student. I grew up speaking English and German and attended a private academy for interpreting and translation. I am very familiar with the grammar of both languages - English and German. Many of my students are preparing for the Goethe certificate with me and I am very proud that 99% of my students have passed the exam at the Goethe Institute (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) with "very good" ( excellent). My teaching approach is a mixture of written material such as books and my own exercises, which I tailor and design to meet the individual needs of the students. All books and materials I work with comply with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), as do the learning materials that I prepare for you. During my classes I focus on a student-centered teaching style and emphasize and integrate all four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing equally during my class. My approach to teaching is a mixture of written material such as books and my own exercises which I tailor and design according to the students individual needs. All the books and printed material I am working with are in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference For Languages) as well as the learning material that I prepare for you. During my lessons I focus on a student centered teaching style and I am emphasizing all four abilities "speaking", "listening", "reading" and "writing" during my lessons.
