My wife and I had the pleasure of having Edelgard as our German tutor for two and a half years, when we moved to Switzerland. Edelgard is very professional, personable, and worked very hard to provide us with the best materials that we needed. She was patient but challenging and helped us to make great progress with our German. We highly recommend her.

Edelgard was able to tailor lessons to introduce the language to our three year old, and then separately for our six year old. She used a variety of media and introduced the children to German culture and holiday celebrations in addition to just the language.

Edelgard was also patient with us parents, teasing out and bringing back to life the German we had studied at school.

Edelgard was always prompt, well prepared, and keen to share her language with us.

Although moving to Germany was a big step, the preparation Edelgard gave to all of us made it much easier to make the transition.

I attended lessons with Edelgard from April 2016 to mid January 2017, toward the latter part on a on-to-one basis. Edelgard was a fantastic support, with excellent guidance through the grammar headaches and pitching our conversational German at a good level but always challenging previously covered topics whist pushing into the unfamilier areas. We worked closely with Themen1 aktuell Kursbuch + Arbeitsbuch. Homework was consistent and support was always available outside of lesson periods. Edelgard is fun, possesses a warmth, and a good feel for her student capabilities, strengths and weeknesses. The lessons had good structure, with lots of opportunity to discuss homework points covered in the lessons. Audio tools were also part of the lessons.
My lessons were only curtailed through business budget constraints and it was such a pity to have stopped.

Edelgard is an excellent German tutor. I and my wife have been learning German with her for about three months and have made fantastic progress.

I was taught by Edelgard for around 8 weeks before I moved to Germany, unfortunately I only completed one hour a week of German lessons. I was advised by Edelgard to complete more than this but time and money constraints (as I am a student) got in the way. As a complete beginner she explained that I should let her know if she was going at the correct speed for me to learn. This was correct and very helpful. And I feel confident to greet people and communicate in a shop environment.
