About Shreeya
I’ve been giving private lessons and worked with tutoring companies since I was 16 and have had over 15 students, some of which had learning difficulties.
I truly believe that a good tutor is the key to unlocking a child’s academic ability and can help channel or motivate their enthusiasm effectively.
I’m confident teaching my subject, as I am very passionate. I studied mathematics and further mathematics while independently also sitting a mathematics advanced extension award.

My teaching methods begin with an assessment where the student tells me what level they aspire to be and their targets while I assess their current level.
After the assessment I draw up a plan on how to achieve the students specific targets, which is followed so I can track a students progress.
When explaining topics I go through throughly and slowly, so the student can listen and ask questions, often relating the theory or use to everyday life (so the maths doesn’t seem so abstract). After explaining the topics, I show the student how to attempt a question, with an emphasis on the importance of exam technique and good habits when writing mathematical notation. After this, I ask the student to explain how they might attempt a second question, and we continue to work through questions until they feel comfortable with the topics.
