About Olivia
I graduated from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, majored in International Finance. Then I worked in HSBC and an Austrian bank for more than 10 years. Reading and writing are things that I would like to do everyday. And I'm writing articles for a Dog behavior treatment center in China to improving dogs' welfare in China. Being a Chinese teacher is what I really want to do. Because I used to work with foreigners in banks and I am interested in western culture. Teaching Chinese is a way to spread Chinese culture and to communicate with different people. The most important thing is that I find I really like to teach Chinese during the time I teach my daughter and help her practice everyday. So I take lessons of International Chinese Teaching Certification and will take the test in Autumn.

I've learned all the lessons for International Chinese Teaching Certification test. Besides, I've taught my daughter Chinese from kindergarten to primary school. I'm good at phonetics, vocabulary and grammar. Also, I took lessons of 'Parents Effectiveness Training' and 'Teacher effectiveness Training', which created by Dr. Thomas Gordon. These help me to promote my teaching and communication skills. We will use HSK or YCT textbooks. If you are a child, we will have more games and story books to help you get interested in Chinese learning. Because of the experience of teaching my daughter, I know where is the weak point that children or even adults may make mistakes.
