About Philiswa
Hello! My name is Philiswa, and I am a passionate tutor specializing in Mathematical Literacy for Grades 10-12. I am a Grade 12 graduate with impressive marks and served as Head Girl at my school, demonstrating leadership, responsibility, and dedication. I started my university studies at Stellenbosch University before transferring to UKZN, where I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Social Sciences in Geography and Environmental Management. My academic journey has strengthened my analytical skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly. I offer student-centered, step-by-step lessons designed to boost confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and achieve better exam results. My approach to tutoring is student-centered and supportive. I believe every learner has the potential to succeed in Mathematical Literacy when concepts are explained clearly and connected to real-life examples. I am proficient in English and isiZulu, and I am comfortable teaching in both languages to make lessons more accessible and engaging.
