About Sami
I believe that every student has the capability to reach incredible heights, and any person can greatly excel beyond all expectations, no matter their difficulties or obstacles. All they need is the right guidance and support, which is what I aim to provide.
I have been tutoring students with varying ranges of struggles professionally for over 3 years. I have worked with students with various learning challenges and have over 7 years of experience working specifically with students with ASD.
No matter the individual's difficulties, I am confident that I can guide them to success.

These math lessons are for any student up to grade 11. I can help a student that needs a little help developing good studying habits, a student that needs help following along in class, a student that is heavily struggling and has no comprehension of the material being covered and needs to start from the beginning again, or any student in between.
For each student I develop a custom teaching techniques and lesson plans that fit their learning style best. My top priority is that a student can not only perform well in math, but that they have full comprehension of the concepts and how they work. This way no matter the situation, they can apply their knowledge and succeed when faced with the trickiest situations.
A typical lesson will begin with a discussion of the latest content covered and what difficulties the student has been having when applying the concepts. I will review homework and locate weaknesses in skills, which I will begin to address.
Throughout the lesson there will be breaks from learning to do a few practice questions, which I use to gauge if the student is properly understanding the lesson before proceeding.
Finally upon the lessons close, I will ask for any further clarification, then present tasks for the student to do until our next lesson. This might be to do more practice questions, or simply to take more detailed notes in class.
