About Dana
I have mostly achieved marks ranging from high 80s to perfect scores from Grade 9 through Grade 12. I truly take pride in helping others improve their math skills and become more confident in solving problems independently through my teaching. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and supporting students in their learning, especially through the convenience of online tutoring from home.

Hi, my name is Dana. I am a Grade 12 student offering K–9 mathematics tutoring online from home. I focus on helping students build a strong mathematical intuition by teaching foundational concepts and gradually building on them so they can interpret more complex mathematical ideas. The objective is for students to eventually be able to solve more complex math problems independently with a stronger understanding of mathematics. My teaching style is patient, understanding, supportive, and step-by-step. Each lesson will begin with a review of any K–9 math material, concepts, assessments, or homework, in order to identify any areas of difficulty. I then teach from the foundations first, building step-by-step until I've reached the area where the student is struggling. I believe it is more effective to teach gradually from the basics, rather than solely helping to solve a problem, as this helps students develop a stronger overall understanding of mathematics to solve future problems independently.
