About Amirah
Throughout years 10 and 11, I ran a study group which consisted of many of my peers. Here, I taught aspects of the GCSE content that caused misunderstandings, and built their confidence by explaining in great detail utilising colourful diagrams, and then went through past paper questions to test their knowledge.

As a student progressing into a Optometry degree,I understand that a concise manner is most efficient. I plan sessions in accordance to their academic ability and the aspects of the course they want to focus on which I ask them of before sessions. I adopt a hands on interactve approach to teaching, where I explain concepts utilising diagrams and bullet points to create a understanding, and after explaining each section pin point any problem areas. Consequently, I repeat these areas causing difficulty in a slower manner and ask questions to ensure that the understanding is there. Tasks would be set both within and outside sessions, alongside assessments to ensure they reach their full potential.
