About Joshua
Ive been a tutor at my college ever since my first semester. I came Stright out of high school not knowing exactly what I wanted to do, so I just randomly decided to major in computer science. I met this certain professor, and he really humbled me as I thought math was an easy subject. I was determined to pass the class as I didn't want to not know how to solve stuff, so I would spend every day coming to class early (with other students too) 30min before class and just solving problems together. While I was a student in his class, I would also assist other classmates all the time to reinforce my knowledge and to obviously help them to understand the material. I eventually took the same professor for trigonometry, Calculus 1,2,3, differential equations, linear algebra and Discrete math. Throughout all those classes, I would do the same thing, say after and before class just doing problems with the professor and helping other students, and I was go as far as sitting in his other classes that he teaches in my free time to learn more and help his students. He eventually encouraged me to be an official tutor in my college by the time I was taking calculus 2. Till this day, I still currently visit his classrooms just to watch him teach and help his students purely because I love math so much

Im the type of tutor that enjoys having conversations about problems that you might be working on. Im not too interested in solving a problem mechanically just to find the correct answer, but im more focused on understanding the problem to begin with, and why certain things work the way they do. My typical lesson plan is to build intuition for a problem and understand how to tackle it before jumping Stright to formulas
