About Alyssa
I tutored organic chemistry at my undergraduate university. I graduated summa cum laude in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I am a competent essay author and can assist with virtually any kind of writing, from scientific writing to basic English assignments. I received a very competitive score on my MCATs, taken in Jan 2024, so I have retained an extensive knowledge of basic and complex sciences and am more than happy to assist undergraduate and high school students. Teaching is an art, and I am passionate to help my students understand and learn, so that they can thrive in whatever they choose to do.

My teaching philosophy consists of a student-centered approach. I will do my best to learn my students’ learning style and unique needs, and am prepared to develop lesson plans for all students. A typical lesson plan will consist of specific content that I am requested to tutor, and I rely on information from my students to curate lessons. I tutor undergraduate and high school level biology and chemistry, and am happy to assist with English and writing skills at any level.
