About Felix
My name is Felix, I graduated from Warwick School last year and I am currently 18. I have provided tutoring sessions to family and friends in the ages of 16-18 for the last few months and after being told that I was 'pretty good', took it upon myself to help others who can't relate to the methodology of teaching from their current tutor who studied the subject 40 years ago, and is seemingly not quite up to date. I employ a 'I will help you' but you will get the answer yourself strategy, whether it comes to you naturally or takes me giving a few hints, however at the end it is all the same and you will know it. Any notes and access to past papers that you may need for either subject are completely available from me.

My teaching methodology first starts with the student, a brief get-to-know portion of the first session is key, establishing a bond while exchanging a laugh or two; once I have a feel for the current level of the student I will supply exemplar material and answers for all questions, giving the student the ability to understand directly from the source how I managed to get to and complete my specific chain of reasoning and what they are currently missing (for example, a 'but why does that happen? and 'so what...?') I encourage note-taking on physical pieces of paper, when writing down physical notes students retain far greater amounts of information rather than if they are to type. The standard length of the session entirely depends on the person; 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and an hour will be available and students who require a small break in between will get it so that they come back fresh and ready to retain the next dose of the lesson. My lessons target individuals who are studying business and economics at either the GCSE or A-level, level.
