About Ellie
Hi, I’m Ellie, a Medical Biochemistry graduate from the University of Leicester. Growing up, I didn’t always enjoy science and often found it difficult to fully understand. It wasn’t until I had a teacher who was genuinely passionate and took the time to support me that everything started to click, and that completely changed how I felt about the subject.
That experience is a big part of why I wanted to get into tutoring. I know how important it is to have someone who explains things in a way that actually makes sense and builds your confidence.
Alongside my degree, I’ve coached university cheerleading teams, which has helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to support and motivate students. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.

I’m a Medical Biochemistry graduate from the University of Leicester with a strong understanding of biology, chemistry and maths, and a real passion for helping students feel confident in their studies. Through my experience coaching university cheerleading teams, I’ve developed the ability to explain complex ideas in a clear, supportive and engaging way.
My lessons are tailored to each student, focusing on building understanding first and then applying this to exam-style questions to boost grades. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I have a strong focus on GCSE exam technique, helping students understand how to structure answers and gain marks effectively. Whether a student is aiming to pass or achieve top grades, I adapt my teaching style to suit their goals and learning style.
