About Amrutha
Hi ! I am Amrutha Raghu from Chennai. I finished my master's degree at North Carolina State University with an MS in Chemical Engineering with a thesis in 2019. I have a deep understanding of chemistry, mathematics, and programming with research experience in renewable energy. I have applied my knowledge in developing techniques to understand how to convert biomass (organic waste from agriculture and forestry) to alternative fuel. I also have teaching experience through teaching assistantship at the university for a 3rd year chemical engineering course, MATLAB tutoring for graduate students, and by hosting workshops in MATLAB programming. Through these workshops and teaching assistantship I got to teach around 120 students and mentor quite a few of them to spark interest in their subject matter. I completed my Bachelor's in Technology at NIT Trichy in Chemical Engineering which I joined through securing 11860 rank in JEE Mains 2013 and a CBSE Score of 471/500 ( 94 in chemistry and 98 in Mathematics ).

I am very passionate about teaching and have developed a unique way of teaching that benefits visual learners. I use software and tools to help students visualize the organic and inorganic molecules they study about. I adapt case studies from the manufacturing and engineering levels to give the students real-world examples of why they are learning a particular concept. I strongly believe that there is no such thing as being good or bad at a topic. The student has either understood the topic or not fully understood the topic. I am confident I can get through to any student and make them understand and apply complex concepts.
