About Savannah
I love school, and I love to share my passion for learning. I know what it feels like to be stumped by a subject (math can be a major pain point for me!) and I'm always happy when I can make the academic journey a little better through personalized, one-on-one lessons where we get to know your strengths.
I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Anthropology in 2019, and from The New School in New York City in 2026 with a master's degree in Psychology.
I work as a professional editor, and I love to read.

I work closely with students to go over difficult concepts in ways that make sense to them. The social sciences can be tricky fields, so we'll go over your homework, make sure your essays have clear ideas, and ensure that you leave the lesson with a plan for the next week to be proactive in your classes. This works great for students taking AP Psychology, high school social science classes, or needing one-on-one help in college-level courses in Anthropology or Psychology.
Because I also work as a professional writer and editor, I can also help students of any level editing important academic essays.

We hired Savannah to tutor our daughter in her high school social science courses, and the results have been fantastic. She is incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but what we appreciate most is how she tailors her teaching to our daughter's specific strengths. It is clear that she truly loves learning, and that passion is contagious. Our daughter actually looks forward to their lessons because Savannah makes the academic journey feel like a partnership rather than a chore.
I reached out to Savannah for help with a major Anthropology research paper that I was struggling to structure. Because of her background as a professional editor, she was able to give me feedback that went way beyond just basic proofreading. She helped me sharpen my arguments and make sure my ideas actually flowed logically from one paragraph to the next. I ended up getting an A on the assignment, and I feel much more confident about my writing skills now.
Savannah is very patient and easy to work with. She creates a supportive environment where it feels comfortable asking questions. My essays became much more organized, focused, and confident thanks to her help.
I was recommended to Savannah from a friend whose daughter took classes with her, and I couldn't be happier about the work that she did with my son! He was struggling with psychology ahead of his AP tests, and within a few weeks of working with Savannah he was performing better in class. She was also super helpful in reviewing his college application essays. Definitely would recommend Savannah to any student in any social studies department, she seems very knowledgeable.
Savannah has been an absolute lifesaver for my AP Psychology class this semester. I was feeling really stumped by some of the more abstract concepts, but she has a way of breaking things down into plain English that actually makes sense. Super patient and easy to talk to, and I always finish our sessions with a clear plan for my homework so I don't feel overwhelmed during the week!
Savannah is an incredible tutor who helped me navigate some of the most confusing parts of my psychology and philosophy coursework. They have a unique ability to translate dense academic concepts into things that actually make sense, and her professional editing background was a total game-changer for my final essays. I went from feeling completely stumped to feeling genuinely confident in my writing and my understanding of the social sciences.
