About Esther
I am a graduate of Boston University. I received my Bachelor's in Special Education and went on to complete my Master's in Special Education with a focus on Autism. I have my NYS teaching certification for students with disabilities. I am able to work with students with a range of learning needs and abilities. I specialize in working with individuals with disabilities such as ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, and others. I want to be able to support each student that I work with in a way that is fun for them to learn while helping them reach their academic goals.

My teaching method and techniques are focused on using repetition, visuals, and learning supports to help build your knowledge. I will not tell you how to do the work, but I will give you the tools and support you need to be able to achieve your goals.
As a tutor, I will make sure your learning needs are met. I will work with you to use tools and your knowledge. I will also make our session interactive by, depending on your age, playing games, looking at websites, or using manipulatives to help you understand the content. Our sessions will be individualized to your learning needs and preferences.
My lessons can be for any student who may need extra support to meet their learning goals. I have worked with a range of students from pre-K to age 22, and have lessons for all ages.
