About Faith

Why take classes with me?

Great question! I have a bachelor's in communication studies, and minored in Spanish studies. I have traveled to 8 different countries, learning other languages as I go (ask me about my French!). Since the age of 15, I have been teaching Spanish speakers English, and have developed a love for English teaching through the connections it gave me and the way it expanded my worldview. Since then, I have never looked back.

This background has made me not just proficient in teaching English, but also always more in love with the process of it. I understand how languages live, and breathe, and connect us to the people and lives we want to live. Now, it's my passion to help people thrive as they work towards those lives of their own. If this sounds like the kind of love and hope you have in your own language learning process, then I can't wait for my class with you! We are going to go so far.

About the lesson

Do you ever find the words to just barely -get through- a conversation in English, but wish you could show people your personality, and come across as clearly and confidently as you want?

It's happened to me too! As a native English speaker fluent in Spanish, I understand what it's like to want to not just -talk- but actually -show- who you are in your conversations.

That's why my lesson plans center around

- Not just WHAT you want to say but HOW you want to say it!
- Conversation and relevant problem solving that discusses the topics relevant to -your- life and -your- goals
- Vocabulary that enhances your ability to communicate as you would in your first language
- Communication coaching for making your speech more natural and appear more effortless

- Advanced beginner (A2) to advanced (C1) speakers looking to improve their speaking and listening skills through targeted conversation and problem solving
- Students or Professionals looking for communication coaching that goes beyond grammar and vocabulary help
- Anyone that wants to enjoy their learning process! I make sure my lessons revolve around joy in the process, not pressure and stress!
