About Chloe
I am a freshly graduated high school student, who is excited to start university in 2026 at the University of Western Australia! In years 11 and 12 in school, I took what I considered to be challenging subjects. Because of that, I also sought tuition and academic help. However, I soon found that my tutor lacked compassion and did not have the time to pay attention to individual students, as he operated a tutoring class. Instead of tutoring, what got me through the senior years of high school were the close friends I had who were enrolled in the same subjects as me. We spent many late nights together in the school library helping each other out with complicated concepts, sharing coffee, and supporting each other. So because of my personal experience, I decided that one-on-one tutoring was how I wanted to help people - similar to the way my friends helped me. I pride myself in being personable and empathetic with my students. I know how frustrating it is to not understand a problem at first glance, so I make sure to help my students as a friend would; without judgment or impatience.

I have local experience tutoring children in elementary school in areas of mathematics and logic, including sessions in preparation for the NAPLAN exam. Additionally, I have tutored high school students in years 10 and below, focusing on their areas of insecurity in general math and science. Sessions are set at a minimum of 1 hour, however, I have no problem running a bit longer free of charge if a student requires a little bit more help. Prior to each session, I would inquire about the student’s area of interest to study and how much they are struggling. Then, I would recommend the students bring in material from school that they specifically find challenging so I can grasp a more specific understanding in their areas of need in the first session. In the sessions following, I would then start to bring material of my own, so that the student can steadily improve at a pace they are comfortable with. Lessons are for all ages for students struggling, excluding year 12 students asking for help in ATAR courses.
