About Acil
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering and a Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, giving me a strong academic foundation in mathematics and its real-world applications across science and technology.
I have broad and genuine teaching experience, having worked with students at every level, online and in-person — from primary school children taking their first steps in maths, to GCSE and A-level students in the UK, all the way through to university-level learners tackling advanced topics.
This range means I know how to pitch explanations at exactly the right level — whether that is making numbers fun and approachable for a young child, or breaking down complex calculus for a university student under exam pressure.
Beyond maths, I also tutor English and Arabic, and I am comfortable working with students from different linguistic backgrounds, explaining concepts clearly regardless of a student's first language.
I am patient, well-prepared, and genuinely invested in every student's progress. My engineering background is not just a qualification — it is proof that I have lived through the hard work mathematics demands, and I know how to guide others through it.

My lessons are structured yet flexible — I start each session by identifying exactly where a student is struggling, then build from there using clear explanations, worked examples, and guided practice.
I focus on understanding over memorisation: once a student grasps the why behind a concept, the rest clicks naturally. I use visual methods, step-by-step problem solving, and real-world examples to make abstract topics feel concrete.
Typical lesson: 60 minutes — 10 min review, 35 min new material or problem-solving, 15 min practice and questions.
Experience: 1–3 years tutoring maths privately, working with students across different curricula and learning styles.
Who it's for: Students from middle school through university level — whether you need to catch up, keep up, or get ahead. I'm especially effective with students who feel anxious about maths or have gaps in their foundations.
All sessions are online, with shared screen and digital whiteboard tools to keep things interactive and clear.
