I have an in-depth knowledge in biology and chemistry, achieving grade As in my A-levels and high 8s and 9s in GCSE.
Having recently completed my own degree, I understand the challenges of learning complex topics and can share effective revision techniques, study strategies, and exam preparation advice alongside subject-specific support. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong understanding of core concepts before moving on to more detailed material. I begin by identifying the topics a student finds most challenging and explaining them in a clear, structured way, providing the wider context needed to develop confidence. Once these foundations are established, we work through practice questions and activities together to reinforce understanding and apply knowledge to exam-style questions. As lessons progress, I encourage students to explain concepts back to me while I ask targeted questions to assess their understanding and identify any areas that need further clarification. This active learning approach helps improve long-term retention, builds confidence, and ensures students can apply their knowledge independently rather than simply memorising facts. Before our first lesson, we'll discuss your current level, learning goals, and the topics you'd like to focus on. I'll then tailor each session to your individual needs, adapting my teaching as you progress to help you gain confidence, strengthen your understanding, and achieve your full potential.
