About Iris
I graduated from Emory University in May 2024 with a 4.0 GPA, earning a degree in biology. Throughout my academic journey, I have taken extensive biology, chemistry, and math coursework, excelling in all subjects. My strong foundation in these disciplines is built upon a deep understanding of fundamental concepts and their real-world applications, allowing me to retain and apply this knowledge effectively. My experience at Emory has reinforced the importance of engaging instruction in student success. As a tutor, I strive to create an interactive and stimulating learning environment through diverse problem sets and targeted exercises. While lectures can be valuable, active problem-solving is the most effective way for students to internalize concepts and build confidence.
I have over three years of tutoring experience, primarily working with middle and high school students in mathematics, including Algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and prealgebra.
