About Maria
I have worked with adult literacy students for fifteen years. And have been offered multiple jobs here and abroad as a specialist in training students to improve and perfect their language skills and reading and writing proficiency. I work with a diverse range of students of varied backgrounds, both beginner and advanced. Usually, I teach adults, but I have taught young adults as well.

My teaching method varies from rhythm-based reading and grammar to diagramming paragraphs of syntactical structures and authorial intent. In a typical lesson plan, we start with easy reading, possibly folk tales, songs, or simple newspaper articles, and break them down into outlines of two or three sentences each considering form and meaning, how the writer chooses to use words and how the structure gives clarity to the relationship between them.
